Austin currently serves as Vice President, Law for the Immunology Business Unit of Janssen Biotech, Inc. He is also the Corporate Secretary for Janssen Biotech and previously supported its Oncology Business Unit. In these roles, Austin has supported a wide variety of strategic alliances with commercial, manufacturing and development partners in the US and globally.

Prior to this, Austin was a member of the Corporate M&A Group both at Johnson & Johnson, and well as at the law firm Cleary Gottlieb.

Ron McRae, CSAP

Ron McRae is Director of Alliance Management at Janssen Biotech, one of the Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson (J&J). Currently Ron is responsible for more effectively optimizing the relationships and business results for several alliances that involve key commercial products within the Janssen Biotech portfolio. Prior to Alliance Management, Ron gained considerable experience and success in business development, sales and marketing. He previously held positions at J&J and Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) in business development, covering the therapeutic areas of Immunology, Oncology, Dermatology, Women's Health Care, and Respiratory Diseases at both divisional and group levels. Prior to BMS, he held positions of increasing responsibility in sales and marketing at Searle Pharmaceuticals.

Ron earned a Master in Management from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Jurist Doctorate from DePaul University's College of Law. He also holds the highest level of certification in Alliance Management as a Certified Strategic Alliance Professional (CSAP).

Petra Sansom is a member of the Vertex Pharmaceuticals Alliance Management team, with responsibility for alliances focused on the discovery and development of transformative medicines to help people with serious diseases like cystic fibrosis.

Prior to her current role, she was Genzyme Head of Alliance Management and a member of the Sanofi Alliance Management Group, with responsibility for alliance management for the Genyzme division collaborations focused on rare genetic diseases.Previously, she was a Global Alliance Director at Hoffmann-La Roche where she was responsible for alliance management of global research, development, and commercial alliances in several therapeutic areas.Petra has over 15 years of experience managing alliances and leading transactional and strategic initiatives.She has great interest in partnering having been a member of ASAP for many years, and has been on the leadership team for the New England ASAP chapter for three years.

She has a JD from Fordham Law School in New York City and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin.
